Question by Katie K: How do I break into the mental health field?
I am a 22 year old college grad with a BS in psychology and a concentration in criminal justice. I really want to pursue a career in counseling, but I know I have to go to graduate school first. In the mean time, I’d like to get some experience in the mental health, or even just health care field. What are some reliable options for getting my foot in the door of the health care field?
Best answer:
Answer by Phantom C
Possibly, as a behavioral health technician or even as a parole officer who carries a case load dealing with the mentally ill? Try looking up BHT on monster jobs or some job search in your area and see what comes up. Good Luck!

Question by Amanda: How far apart should you have kids? *health wise*?
I’m taking a lifespan class and I cannot remember or find in my notes. How far apart is the best to have kids.
There was a specific length of time, where it is healthiest for your body.
Does anyone know what that time span is?
PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER, WHENEVER YOU ARE READY. THATS NOT THE ANSWER I’M LOOKING FOR.

I don’t see a problem with it. You’re just informing yourself on how the body of a woman works.

Question by Joe: Why is it that in womens health all you talk about is periods?
I feel like the only thing in womens health is periods and birth control. Its not only womens health like this, mens health is the same except it is semen and penis length. WHY IS EVERYONE SO SELF CONSCIOUS ABOUT THESE NATURAL THINGS???
Best answer:

Because people want to make sure what is happening to them is normal, that it happens to other people too.

Question by Meiko J: what happens to kids health insurance benefits if I am injured at work and go on workers compensation benefit?
I just went on workers compensation and I have health insurance through my employer what happens to this if I can’t pay it
Best answer:
Answer by mbrcatz17
If you don’t pay for your health insurance – and your kids – both your coverages will be cancelled.
As soon as your employer terminates you, your health insurance cancels, unless you pay for it yourself, through cobra. Even though you’re on Workers Comp, that only covers the work related injury. It does NOT keep paying for your benefits.
